    The Teeling family has been producing Irish whiskey since 1782, with the first small distillery opening on Marrowbone Lane in Dublin. In 2012, a new distillery was opened just by the latest generation of the family just down the road, becoming the first new distillery in Dublin in 125 years. Teeling’s modern approach to distillation produces a quality whiskey base, which is furthered by varying different barrels, blends, and maturation time, resulting in a collection of unique, delicious Irish Whiskeys. Teeling Small Batch is comprised of hand selected casks and aged in ex bourbon barrels before resting in Central Americanrum casks for up to 12 months, resulting in a dried fruit profile.

Whiskey of the Week: Baby Jane, $13

Widow Jane whiskey is based out of the Red Hook
neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York.
All of their whiskeys are proofed with natural hard limestone
water that is sourced from the Rosendale Mines upstate.

Baby Jane is the latest addition to their lineup.
It is distilled with a proprietary strain of heirloom corn,
aptly named “Baby Jane” and aged in charred American
oak barrels. Only a few barrels are blended at a time,
then proofed with the famous limestone water.
The result is complex flavors of taffy, caramel, fig,
allspice, with a finish of peach compote, star anise,
cut hay, horchata, soft pretzel and milk chocolate.
